RENO, NV - Reno police have arrested two people accused of child abuse and kidnapping.

Police responded to a motel May 16th, asked to do a welfare check on a child. They found a seven-year-old boy living with his mother, Allison Alamo, and her boyfriend, Robert Downs. The boy had several unusual injuries.

Police say the investigation indicates both adults hurt the boy over the last six weeks. They believe Downs tied the boy up several times.

The boy was taken into custody by Child Protective Services and the adults were arrested on charges of child abuse and neglect, kidnapping in the second degree, and domestic battery and strangulation.
