TRUCKEE, CA - Police in Truckee have arrested two people accused in several burglaries of homes and cars.
The reports came in through February and early March, with evidence leading to the arrest of 19-year-old Anthony Torres, who had with him, according the police, a large amount of Crystal Methamphetamine and cash on him at the time of the search warrant. Torres was arrested for possession of controlled substances for sale. Additional charges related to the original burglaries and gang affiliation were later added.
Police also arrested 19-year-old Sergio Sanchez, who also had Crystal Methamphetamine and an air-soft pistol in the vehicle with him. Sanchez was arrested for possession of controlled substances for sale and attempted burglary from the earlier case.
Also arrested was Sabrina Kantlehner, 18, accused of helping Sanchez try to escape police when they tried to serve him an arrest warrant.
