Mount Rose Hwy, U.S. 50 Open Without Controls After Deadly Accidents

RENO, NV - The Labor Day holiday was a deadly one on Nevada roads.

Nevada Highway Patrol troopers investigated two deadly crashes Monday afternoon.

A motorcycle and RV collided on the Mt. Rose Highway, just below Sky Tavern, around 3:15PM. The biker was killed.

And investigators worked another motorcycle crash on Highway 50 near Logan Creek in Glenbrook, north of Cave Rock State Park. Two people were on the motorcycle when it crashed; one of them has been killed. The other was flown to Renown in Reno.

In both cases, traffic was being alternated, one direction at a time, until 7pm. About four hours after each crash was reported.

The names of the victims who died haven't been released.
