RENO, NV - The city of Reno is working on a plan to transform the former Northgate Golf Course into a new community park.

The RSCVA shut down the golf course in north Reno some six years ago, after it became too expensive to operate. The 228-acre course is now overgrown with cheat grass.

When the makeover is complete, the park will be named Sierra Vista Park. Before the city gets started, it wants public input about possible design options.
