COLFAX, CA - Train traffic is moving again after wreckage from a derailment was cleared Sunday night in Colfax, west of Reno.

Five of 139 Union Pacific cars went off the tracks late Sunday morning, according to Cal Fire. One of them leaked a fluid that has been cleaned up, but as a precaution, homes and businesses in the area were evacuated.

The wreck delayed two Amtrak trains. A westbound #5 train, headed from Chicago to Emeryville, was stopped east of Colfax. Passengers were taken off the train and bused to their destination.

The eastbound #6 train, going from Emeryville to Chicago, waited on the tracks until they were cleared, which happened about 9PM Sunday.

The cause of the wreck still hasn't been determined. Nobody was seriously hurt.
