LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada Commission on Tourism officials are
weighing options for a new state tagline.
Commission chair and Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki tells the Las Vegas
Sun that proposals brought up at a Wednesday meeting will go through plenty of vetting before one is chosen.
Top choices the committee reviewed include "ReiNVent," which highlights the state's abbreviation and could morph into business forms, such as "ReiNVest" and "ReiNVigorate."
They also considered the phrase "All in Nevada," which plays off poker terminology but can also highlight the variety of things to see in the state.
Another option was "Nevada is for Doers," although some committee members were concerned it's too similar to the "Virginia is for Lovers" tagline.
Rejected taglines included "Lots to NV," "NEVADAmazing," and
"Discovery is in Our Veins."
