UPDATE: Gary Wilson was arrested at 3:45PM Friday. Sheriff's officials say he surrendered peacefully and will be charged with attempted murder.


DOUGLAS COUNTY, NV - The Douglas County Sheriff's Office hasn't tracked a man suspected of shooting another man Thursday. Deputies are still asking residents in the Topaz Ranch Estates area to secure their houses after a shooting that happened there Thursday around 2:15 p.m.

Gary Wilson, the suspect believed involved in the shooting, is at large and considered armed and dangerous. Investigators did find the gun believed to have been used in the shooting, but it's not known if Wilson has other firearms and is still armed.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound in the shoulder, but the injury is not considered life-threatening.

Deputies are in the Topaz Ranch Estates area and are actively searching for Wilson, described as 44 years old, white, approximately 5'10'' and 180lbs. He has brown hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing blue jeans without a shirt.
