Toaster Recall
Hamilton Beach has received 15 reports of toasters that did not pop up as intended, including three reports of minor damage to kitchen cabinets. No injuries reported.

HAMILTON BEACH TOASTERS
DETAILS: Classic chrome two-slice toasters, imported by Hamilton
Beach Brands Inc. of Glen Allen, Va., and sold at retail outlets
nationwide and online from February 2008 through June 2011.
WHY: The heating element can remain energized indefinitely when
an item is placed in the toaster, which may ignite the contents,
posing a fire hazard.
INCIDENTS: Hamilton Beach has received 15 reports of toasters
that did not pop up as intended, including three reports of minor
damage to kitchen cabinets. No injuries reported.
