RENO, Nev. (AP) - Nearly six out of 10 active registered voters in battleground Nevada have already cast their ballots. Most of the rest are headed to the polls on Tuesday with the potential to again help swing a close presidential race and determine an even closer U.S. Senate race.
President Obama won Nevada by 12 percentage points in 2008 but is believed to be in a much tighter race with Republican Mitt Romney this time around.
Republican Sen. Dean Heller also is in the fight of his political life against Democrat Shelley Berkley, the long-term congresswoman from Las Vegas.
Nevadans also will decide four congressional races, at least two of them competitive. In addition, they'll vote on a number of legislative races that could reverse Democrats' narrow control of the state Senate.
