Three Arrested, Property Recovered in Recent Minden Burglaries

MINDEN, Nev. -- Investigators arrested three people and recovered much of the stolen property from two recent burglaries in Minden.

The extensive investigation by Douglas County Sheriff's officials led to the arrest of 30-year-old Justin Turek of Minden, his girlfriend, 30-year-old Melanie Gurule (aka: Melanie Anelo) of Reno, and 28-year-old Ryan Hiltz of Gardnerville.

The residential burglaries happened on Wildrose Dr, in Minden between Sunday, August 19th and Thursday, August 23rd.

Through their investigation, detectives tied the suspects to items stolen during those burglaries. The stolen property had an estimated value of $40,000 and a lot of it was recovered.

Turek and Hiltz are in the Douglas County Jail. Turek faces "Possession of Stolen Property, and 2 counts of Possession of a Stolen Firearm" charges and his bail is $50,000. Hiltz was booked on "Possession of Stolen Property, Ex-Felon in Possession of a Firearm and 2 counts of Possession of a Stolen Firearm" charges, and his bail is $50,000 cash only.

Gurule is in the Washoe County Jail on charges of "Burglary, Possession of Stolen Property, and Obtaining Money by False Pretenses." Her bail is $30,500.

Detectives are still investigating in an effort to determine each suspect's individual roles in the burglaries.
