RENO, NV -- A tentative agreement has been reached that ends the likelihood of strikes from drivers, mechanics and dispatchers for the Regional Transportation Commission and their employer, MV Transportation.

This means there will be no disruption in bus service.

RTC was not a party to the negotiations. Negotiations involved the Teamsters Local 533 union representing the drivers, mechanics and dispatchers and MV Transportation. A federal mediator assisted during negotiations.

The next step is for union members to ratify the agreement. Union leadership will recommend ratification to the membership and will vote Sunday, August 10th.
