SPARKS, NV - Teen Challenge is a local non-profit working to reform the lives of at-risk teenage boys, and they need Facebook votes to win $25,000 to make some critical repairs to their building in Sparks.

"I ended up here because I was hanging out on the streets with bad people, the wrong crowd, and I was drinking a lot and using drugs, using hard drugs," said high school junior Aaron Lopez.

He credits Teen Challenge with turning his life around.

"It's just changed me. It's helping me a lot. It's helping me in school. I'm getting a lot of school done now. It's going to help me a lot when I get back to do my senior year," said Lopez.

His is just one of many success stories at Teen Challenge, where teen boys live, learn and work on who they are, and who they'll be when they finish the 12 to 18 month program.

"To be high all the time isn't the good thing to do. and you get to reflect on your life and realize that you weren't having all the fun you could've had," said another Teen Challenge participant, Javan Milbourn.

Teen Challenge has already made some improvements to their building with $10,000 from Home Depot, but there's still work to be done, especially to their aging roof.

"It's not leaking yet, but I don't know how long that'll stay," said Jered Rowe, the Director of Teen Challenge.

The bathroom needs work, too, because the walls are starting to rot out.
