SAN FRANCISCO, CA - 49ers and former Nevada quarterback Colin Kaepernick is being investigated by police after an alleged incident with a woman at a hotel in Miami, Florida.

The TMZ website quotes 49ers General Manager Trent Baalke: "The 49ers organization is aware of the recent media report regarding Colin Kaepernick and is in the process of gathering the pertinent facts.”

According to the police report (link to the right), the alleged incident took place at the Viceroy Hotel in Miami April 1, and a TMZ source says "the investigation is in its 'beginning stages' and no charges have been filed against anyone at this point."

The police report indicates the accuser went to the hotel apartment of Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette, who is also being questioned along with SF player Quinton Patton, and mixed drinks for them while taking marijuana. The report indicates she felt light-headed and lay down in a bedroom, followed by Kaepernick, whom says says started kissing and undressing her. Then he left, according to the report, and they did not have sex, but she says Patton and Lockette then peeked at her through the door. She says she later woke up in a hospital, but doesn't know how she got there. She says she once had a sexual relationship with Kaepernick.
