SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA - A suspicious device was detonated by the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) team Friday, August 2, 2013, according to the El Dorado Sheriff's Department.
The El Dorado County Sheriff's Department's EOD team responded after receiving a call about a suspicious device with wires and a battery in a South Lake Tahoe residential neighborhood.
The team arrived around noon and detonated the device around 4:00 p.m.
There were no explosives in the device, but it was detonated for safety measures, according to the El Dorado Sheriff's Department.
