Suspects in McCune Killing Could Face Death Penalty

CARSON CITY, NV - The four suspects in the killing last week of Nevada's insurance examiner could face the death penalty.

Michael Paul Evans, Anthony Paul Elliott aka Anthony Morris, Raul Marcos Garcia and Makyla Lynne Blackmore are charged with murder in the death of William McCune, whose body was found in the Carson River, wrapped in a blanket, last Saturday. He was reported missing by co-workers earlier in the week, and deputies found evidence of a struggle and blood in his apartment.

District Attorney Neil Rombardo says he will assemble a team of prosecutors to analyze the evidence and reports to determine whether the death penalty is appropriate in the alleged beating death of William McCune.

After being in court Tuesday, a judge determined all four defendants will be held without bail. There will be a preliminary hearing April 25th.
