From KOLO 8 Weather Now... The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Wind Advisory. A wind advisory will be in effect from 8 AM until 11 PM on Thursday.

Super Bowl DUI Checkpoint in Sparks
There will be a DUI checkpoint in Sparks today from 3:30-10:00p.m.

In response to today's Super Bowl festivities, there will be a multi-agency "Joining Forces" DUI Checkpoint today on northbound Pyramid Highway by the Lazy 5 Regional Park/Spanish Springs Library.

Officers will be administering sobriety tests from 3:30 to 10:00 p.m., the hours during and after the big game.
