Squaw Valley, Calif. - Squaw Valley's Travis Ganong won the men's Super G race on his own mountain Friday at the U.S. Championships.
Ganong finished in 1:00.80 seconds. He held off NorAm overall and U.S. downhill champion Jared Goldberg by .20 seconds. Truckee's Mark Engel was third at 1:01.06 seconds.
Bryce Bennett was the top junior in fourth place. He grew up as a member of the Squaw Valley Ski Team.
Ganong also won the Super G Gold back in 2010.
