RENO, Nev. -- Sparks Police are looking for the man who robbed a restaurant employee as she was walking across the parking lot with the restaurant's bank deposit.

It happened just after 11:00 Saturday morning outside the Wingstop in the 2800 block of Vista Blvd. The employee told police she was walking from the restaurant to the bank inside the nearby Safeway with the deposit in a bank bag under her arm.

Police say that is when a male came up behind her and forcefully took the money then ran. He was last seen running eastbound behind the Safeway. The employee was not hurt.

According to police, employees of both Wingstop and neighboring businesses said the male had been loitering outside the restaurant for about 45 minutes before the incident.

Police describe the suspect as tall and slender, possibly in his late teens or early 20s. They say he could be Hispanic or Asian but he pulled his sweatshirt over his face to hide his identity. That sweatshirt was a black hoodie; he was also wearing blue jeans.

Police ask that anyone who has any more information about the robbery to call detectives at (775) 353-2225 or contact Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
