Sparks, NV- Sparks police are searching for a hit and run driver.
The accident happened on Friday, around 7:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Spanish Springs Blvd.
A silver colored Toyota Corolla 4-door had been struck in the front and rear portions of the vehicle. The driver of that vehicle had been northbound on Spanish Springs Blvd. and had pulled to the side of the road and stopped briefly.
A light colored, older model Jeep, possibly a Cherokee, approached travelling southbound. The vehicle drifted across the center lane, through the northbound lane and struck the Toyota causing damage to both the front and rear portions of the Toyota. The Toyota was also pushed slightly sideways into the fence.
The driver of the Toyota was not injured.
The Jeep then fled the scene.
The Jeep should have front end damage, and is missing its grill and one headlight. Anyone with information on this is asked to call the Sparks Police Department Traffic Section at 353-2432.
