UPDATE: Wanted Man Turns Himself into Sparks Police

The Sparks Police Department says Andrew Dovichi turned himself in on Sunday, March 9, 2014.

They say he was booked on domestic battery strangulation, false imprisonment and child endangerment.

His total bail is $37,500.00


SPARKS, NV - The Sparks Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted in connection with a domestic battery.

Sparks police say units responded to a local business on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 4:21 a.m. to meet with a victim of a domestic battery.

They say the female victim had a swollen lip and marks around her neck, indicating she had possibly been strangled during the incident.

The woman told officers she was attacked by her boyfriend, identified as Andrew Dovichi, after confronting him about infidelity, according to Sparks police.

The woman left the house after the altercation. She told officers that their 10-month-old child was present during the altercation and was still present in the house, according to Sparks police.

Officers went to the house and forced entry after they heard the baby crying, according to Sparks police. They say Dovichi fled the house prior to police arrival.

Dovichi is currently wanted for questioning in this incident. Sparks police say they've been unable to contact him.

The Sparks Police Department is requesting the assistance of the community in locating Dovichi. Dovichi is considered armed and dangerous and has been known to carry firearms, according to Sparks police.
