Sparks Police Search for Driver Involved in Hit-and-Run

SPARKS, NV - Sparks police are searching for the driver who hit a man on Monday, December 30, 2013 around 4:00 p.m.

Officers responded to the area of O'Callahan and Haywood for a report of a car that hit a pedestrian, according an official from the Sparks Police Department,

The official says officers saw a man sitting on the sidewalk when they arrived on scene.

The man said he was walking on O'Callahan toward Sparks Blvd and stopped at the corner of Haywood. The victim told officers the car hit him as he stepped off the sidewalk.

According to the official, the victim said the car was traveling on Haywood toward O'Callahan.

The victim was thrown onto the passenger's side of the hood of the car and hit his head when he fell to the ground, according to the official.

The victim described the driver as a white woman in her twenties with short blond hair. He described the car as a black Honda Civic.

Officials say the victim was transported to Renown with non-life- threatening injuries.

Secret Witness is offering a $500.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the driver wanted in connection with this hit-and-run.
