SPARKS, NV - Sparks police are looking for a driver who's accused of hitting a pedestrian at Prater Way and 22nd St., then driving off.
Police say it happened Tuesday night around 7:15 pm. When help arrived, officers found a 65-year-old man lying in the crosswalk with a serious injury to his leg.
The victim was taken to the hospitals and is in stable condition.
Police say the victim was walking north inside the crosswalk and had the right of way at the northwest intersection of Prater Way and 22nd Street. According to police, that's when the man was hit by an unknown vehicle driving eastbound on Prater way.
At this time, police do not have a description of the car but say there could some sort of damage on the right front bumper. If you have any information, you're asked to call Secret Witness at 322-4900.
