SPARKS, NV - An early morning shooting sent one man to a hospital Saturday, and now Sparks police are looking for the person who pulled the trigger.

Sparks Police Lieutenant Krall tells KOLO 8 News Now shortly after 1am Saturday, four men were leaving a residence at Courtside Garden Apartments in the 1100 block of 15th Street.

Police say the men were confronted by two people in a car. During the confrontation, the driver of the car pulled out a handgun and fired one shot. One of the men, a 28-year-old Reno resident, was hit in the hand. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Witnesses describe the car as a two-door sedan, light in color, possibly a Chevy Cavalier. The descriptions of the driver and passenger are extremely vague. The man who fired the shot is described as an Hispanic male between the ages of 18 and 24. The passenger is described as an Hispanic female possibly 18 to 20 or even 22 years old.

Investigators are not ruling out gang involvement on the part of the people in the car.
