SPARKS, NV - Police have released a sketch of the attacker in a late-night stabbing.

Sparks police say about 10:45PM Sunday, August 17, 2014, they were called to a report of a stabbing in the area of Sparks Boulevard and Eagle Pass Road. They found the victim in his car with several injuries they say are non-life-threatening.

The victim told them he had parked in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the area to make a phone call on his cell phone. He said he was approached and suddenly stabbed by someone he doesn't know, and then he drove off and called police when he realized he was hurt.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.

He describes the attacker as Hispanic and in his early 20s with short hair. Police say the attacker may also have been hurt, but they don't know if he needed medical treatment, so they are hoping someone comes forward if he did. Working with the victim, they drew a sketch of what the attacker looks like.
