SPARKS, NV - One person of interest involved in a shooting on 9th Street has been shot and killed by police; the other has been questioned and released.

Officers were called to a report of shots fired in the 400 block, just west of Pyramid Way, around 12:30PM Monday, July 21, 2014. Witnesses say the driver of a pickup backed into a Harley Davidson motorcycle, at which point a male fired two rounds from a gun at the pickup, which was then driven off. The shooter ran off. Two 9mm shell casings were found in the area.

No one was hit and no one else in the neighborhood appears to have been hurt.

The Sparks Police Department identified James Bowman and Larissa Faddis as persons of interest in this case. Bowman was shot and killed by Sparks police and the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Wednesday, September 3, after an investigation involving the US Marshal's Office in Reno. Faddis was found and questioned by police who say she was a witness and not involved in the shooting; she was then released.
