One Arrest Made in El Rancho Shooting; One Sought

SPARKS, NV - Sparks police have arrested one man and are looking for another in connection with a shooting Thursday afternoon.

Witnesses told police they saw a fight, then heard gunshots shortly after 3:30 near Oddie Boulevard and El Rancho. Police found a 17-year-old boy who had been shot and was taken to a hospital; he has already been released.

Police say the people involved are suspected gang members.

Around 1AM Friday, police tracked Jake Torlone to a home on Berkshire Drive and arrested him for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, among other charges.

They are still looking for a second suspect, David Lee Cunningham. He is black, 5’7" and about 200 pounds. He has a tattoo of a “B” across the front of his neck and he has a booking history.

Police say Cunningham is dangerous and may be armed. If you have any information about where he is, you're asked to call Sparks police or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
