Sparks police are investigating a bank robbery that happened Friday evening near the intersection of Vista and Baring Boulevards.

SPARKS, NV - Sparks police are investigating a bank robbery that happened Friday evening near the intersection of Vista and Baring Boulevards.

Police say the U.S. Bank branch inside the Safeway in the D'Andrea shopping center was robbed shortly after 5:00pm by a man who slipped a note to a teller, saying he had a gun and demanding money.

The robber is described as a white male in his early to mid 40's. He was wearing some sort of mask, along with jeans, a light colored shirt and a dark colored jacket and hat.

Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the robber.

A weapon was mentioned in the note but was not seen and the loss has not been determined.

Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with the robbery
