SPARKS, NV - Sparks police are investigating a home invasion that began as a fight at a party.
They were called to a home invasion in progress at 2:41AM Saturday, May 10th, in the 1500 block of G street. When they got there, officers were told that there had been a party that got out of control. During the party, a teenage boy, possibly African American or Pacific Islander, showed a handgun and pointed it at the crowd. He hit a person who tried to break up the party in the head with the gun. The victim was treated at Renown Regional Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say after the party dispersed, they believe the same person returned to the home, kicked in the door and ransacked the residence. Police weren't called until then, and the invader had already left by the time police got there.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Sparks Police or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
