Sparks Police Ask for Help ID'ing Violent Robbers

SPARKS, NV - The Sparks Police Department is asking the public to help identify the people involved in a robbery with the use of a deadly weapon and battery with a deadly weapon case.

On October 28, 2013 at 11:30 p.m., an official with the Sparks Police Department says two male victims were at Burgess Park at 1605 Pyramid Way when they were approached by two young Hispanic male teens wearing dark clothing.

After asking for their wallets and where they were from, one of the robbers, who possessed a handgun, struck one of the victims in the head, according to police.

Police say the other victim was struck in the head after he tried to protect his friend. Both victims suffered significant head trauma and later went to a hospital.

Both of the robbers left the park on foot toward the intersection of Pyramid and Greenbrae and possibly live in the area of Burgess Park, according to police.

The sketch provided is what the Sparks Police Department believes to be the male robber who had the handgun.
