A Sparks police officer is in the hospital after his cruiser was "T-boned" by another vehicle. It happened at around 3:55 p.m. at the intersection of McCarran and Glendale. The Nevada Highway Patrol, who has taken over the investigation, tells us the officer was responding to a robbery, and had his lights and sirens on. A driver, apparently didn't see the cruiser or that other traffic had stopped and hit the passenger side of the cruiser. That individual was not hurt, but the officer was taken to the hospital with neck and back pain. The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed currently.
