SPARKS, NV - The Sparks City Council has voted to uphold the Sparks Planning Commission's permit to build a Walmart at Legends.
More than 50 residents voiced their concerns Monday afternoon at a Sparks City Council meeting.
The Sparks Planning Commission approved a special use permit last November to allow an approximately 180,000-square-foot big box retailer on more than 17 acres in the northwest portion of Legends.
The Walmart would be part of a larger destination retail and entertainment center located at Lincoln Way.
