DOUGLAS COUNTY, NV - A small controlled agriculture burn led to the brief closure of part of Highway 88 in Douglas County Friday afternoon.

Spokesmen with Tahoe-Douglas Fire and the East Fork Fire Protection District say about three acres were being burned in a field, and shifting wind blew smoke across Highway 88 near Mottsvile Lane. NDOT closed the highway between Centerville Lane and Mottsville while the fire was being contained and smoke dissipated.

No structures were threatened and nobody is reported hurt.
