RENO, NV - A small 2 acre fire that erupted near Parr Blvd. and Highway 395 was quickly knocked down by Reno Fire Department Sunday.

Battalion Commander Rik Kajans says the fire was started roadside, human caused, but the incident is still under investigation.

Some structures were threatened but none were lost, however some "ornamental" assets were burned, including some juniper trees near the U-haul building.

4 engines responded to the incident, along with Battalion Commander Rik Kajans and a safety officer.

Kajans says they were able to keep most of the fire equipment off the road and traffic was only restricted for a short time.
