CARSON CITY, NV - Carson City sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting in the area of the IHop on South Carson Street.

A gunman opened fire around 9 a.m., inside the IHOP on the 3800 block of Carson Street injuring 11 people not including the shooter.

Four confirmed dead at this time including the gunman. Authorities say two killed were military personnel as they were in uniform at the time of the shooting.

According to the Associated Press the gunman has died from his self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Deputies say it appears the shooting is isolated to the IHOP parking lot, at this time.

According to the Associated Press, police believe only one shooter is responsible.

Two women and one man were care-flighted to Renown while another victim was taken by ground ambulance. According to REMSA some victims are listed in critical condition.

No lockdowns or roads closed at this time.

Witnesses report hearing semi-automatic weapon fire. An employee at the Fandango says bullets hit the building.

We have a crew on the scene and we'll update this story as information becomes available.

I am one of the vitims cousins, like my brohter. Anyone know wherenNick Teply or Ralph Swaggler who owned BBQ place is...I'd like to say, don't feel guilty for not taking action. We got report back and everything happened so quickly. Glad they didn't get killed.

Unfortunately, DIS-arming isn't the answer either. I would rather play the odds in favor of another shooter having ended this, than defend gun-control with an almost Stoogesque scenario. Not to say it is 100% IMplausible, but I like the odds of the former personally. In either case, it is a horrible tragedy and this really isn't the time nor place to have this debate. May God receive them into Heaven and may they all rest in peace.
