GARDNERVILLE, NV - A Gardnerville man is dead after shooting his wife and himself Monday night, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

About 9:40PM, deputies were called to the 1400 block of Angora Drive, where they found the body of 37-year-old David Woffinden in the driveway. After a night of investigating, they believe he shot 34-year-old Kimberly Woffinden in the leg, then killed himself. She was treated at a hospital and has been released.

The couple's two children, ages 10 and 2, were home at the time but did not witness the shooting, according to deputies. They are staying for now with people close to the family.

Deputies believe the shooting followed an argument between the couple. The investigation continues.
