CARSON CITY, NV - KOLO 8 News Now has learned that a Carson City man has been arrested on a sexual assault charge.

Carson City Sheriff Kenny Furlong spoke with KOLO 8 News Now and confirmed 43-year-old John Allen Teifel has been arrested involving an assault that occurred on May 25th. Furlong added alcohol appeared to be a factor in this case.

The assault happened on Imperial Way and Teifel was arrested on East William Street in Carson City.

Teifel is being held on $25,000 bail
