Three Hurt in Fernley Crash

FERNLEY, NV - A semi-truck-vs-SUV crash that caused traffic problems on US 50 Alternate near Desert Rose RV Park in Fernley Thursday evening was cleared shortly after 10:30 p.m.

The accident happened just after 5:00 p.m., according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Three people were taken to Renown in Reno for what troopers say are non-life-threatening injuries. They are all from the SUV; the truck driver isn't hurt.

The crash is still under investigation, but troopers say the crash happened when the driver of the SUV turned onto Highway 50 from Desert Rose, and that the driver of the SUV may have been impaired.
