Second Medallion for Nevada's 150th on Sale

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Orders are being taken for the second of four commemorative medallions marking Nevada's 150th anniversary of statehood.

The first set of medallions depicted the Nevada state seal. The second features a miner. All have the Nevada sesquicentennial logo on the back.

Each 1-ounce silver medallion is made from silver from the Coeur Rochester Mine near Lovelock and stamped on the historic Coin Press No. 1 at the Nevada State Museum. They are available for $100.50 each.

Copper medallions of similar design are being sold for $15.

Medallions can be ordered at the Legislative Gift Store or through its website.
