SLT Police Looking for Three Suspects in Motel Armed Robbery

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. -- South Lake Tahoe Police officials are looking for three people after an armed robbery at a local motel.

It happened at about 11:30pm Saturday, March 30th at the Pinewood Lodge in the 3800 block of Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Police say the robbers got in by knocking on the front lobby door, which was locked at the time. A clerk went to the door and police say the woman who was knocking said she needed a room. The woman was wearing a hoodie and the clerk could not see her face.

Police say as soon as the clerk unlocked the door, two men wearing ski masks and gloves went in; one had a handgun and the other had a large hunting knife. Police say the man with the gun forced the clerk behind the counter, and the man with knife put it to the clerk's neck.

Police report, "The female demanded money as the male armed with the handgun opened the cash drawer and removed an undisclosed amount of cash." The three robbers got away in a brown, four-door Cadillac. It was last seen headed east toward the casinos.

Police reports describe the woman as a black adult, about 5'4" with a small build. She was wearing a gray hoodie and black gloves.

The man with the handgun is described as a black adult, about 6'2" with a medium build. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, dark jeans, and the previously-mentioned ski mask and gloves.

Police describe the man with the knife as a black adult, about 6'2" with a medium build. He was wearing dark clothing, and the black ski mask and gloves.
