RENO - The Arizona Diamondbacks re-instated outfielder Cody Ross from the 15-day disabled list on Friday.

He played in nine games with the Reno Aces on a rehabilitation assignment, batting .290 with seven RBI.

Ross has been out since he suffered a dislocated hip back in August. He has a .260 batting average during his 10-year career, with 130 home runs and 490 RBI.

Arizona designated Ryan Rowland-Smith for assignment to make room for Ross on their 40-man roster.
