Fire Extinguished at Rosewood Lakes Golf Course Maintenance Facility

RENO, NV - Reno firefighters battled flames inside the Rosewood Lakes Golf Course Maintenance Facility Monday night.

Crews responded to a call around 10:40 p.m. of a structure fire off Pembroke Dr.

When they arrived, the Rosewood Lakes Golf Course Maintenance Facility was engulfed in flames. Crews were able to knock down the fire within 20 minutes.

Battalion Chief Bob Leighton from Reno Fire Department says the damage is extensive; almost all the equipment is a complete loss.

Maintenance equipment such as a lawnmower and several items that keep the golf course are gas-fueled, which may have contributed to the toxicity of the air.

Nobody was inside the building at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire hasn't been determined.
