Hundreds of residents who live in Reno's Del Webb community at Somersett held a protest Sunday afternoon. Their signs and chants, to voice their displeasure with the state of the community's recreational complex. The residents say it's already too small for the current number of residents, and they say with more homes slated to be built, it just cannot accommodate the needs of the community.

"The communtiy has been great the lodge has been great but now all of a sudden after living here 4 or 5 years our residents are finding we have a lot of shortfalls so we tried to explain that to the developer but are very unsuccessful and what I'm really concerned about is our quality of life here at Sierra Canyon is in jeopardy as we build another 400 homes out here," says Ron Miyasaki a resident board member.

In a letter to homeowners this week, the developers' division president said the amenities at Sierra Canyon represent Del Webb's commitment to homebuyers, and the claim Del WEbb has broken its promise to homebuyers by building insufficient amenities is completely unfounded.
