Update: Downtown Reno Motel Shooting Vicim Identified

Tuesday update:

RENO, Nev - One person is dead another being questioned by police after a shooting at a downtown motel.

Reno PD says 26 year old Bryan Christopher Talley of Reno has been identified as the victim of the shooting.

They say it happened around 4 Monday morning inside one of the rooms at the Keno Motel on West Street.

Police tell KOLO 8 News Now an individual has admitted to the shooting. However, that person is still being questioned and at this time is not under arrest. Investigators say they are still trying to determine a motive and self-defense has not been ruled out. Police are not saying if the person who was shot was armed. That person was pronounced dead at the hospital.

At this time, no names are being released.

RENO, Nev - Reno Police are investigating a shooting on West St. in Reno.

Police tell us the shooting happened around 4 Monday morning at or near the Keno Motel, which is on West St. between 3rd and 4th streets. They tell us one person was injured and one person was arrested.

We do not know the extent on the injuries. As soon as we have more information we will pass it along.
