RENO, Nev. (AP) - A 49-year-old Nevada man who already has 18 felony convictions has been sentenced as a repeat offender to 10 years to life in prison for embezzlement and armed robbery at a Reno casino.
Daniel Rosenberg of Reno pleaded guilty earlier this year to embezzling $6,000 from Dotty's Casino where he was working as a manager last summer. He also pleaded guilty to armed robbery at the casino after police investigating the theft of money from the safe found evidence that also implicated him in the holdup.
Police say Rosenberg's 18 prior felony convictions date to 1993.
Washoe District Judge Brent Adams sentenced him on Wednesday to 10 years to life for the robbery, with a concurrent sentence of 2 to 5 years for embezzling.
