Reno's Van Noy a Finalist for Bednarik Award

PROVO, Utah - Reno's Kyle Van Noy has been named a semifinalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award.

The BYU senior linebacker is one of just 16 players still up for the award, which goes out every year to the best defensive player in college football.

Van Noy has 47 tackles this season, including 11 for loss and four sacks. He's also recorded 11 quarterback hurries, six pass breakups, and a fumble recovery. He's also returned an interception for a touchdown.

Van Noy is a graduate of McQueen high school in Reno.
