Reno native Kyle Van Noy has been named a third team All-American by Athlon Sports.
The BYU linebacker recorded 63 tackles, including 16 for loss and four sacks this season. He also had 14 quarterback hurries, two interceptions, a forced fumble and a defensive touchdown.
Van Noy still has one more college game to go, as BYU faces Washington in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in San Francisco on December 27th.
He is expected to be an early pick in next year's NFL draft, going somewhere between the first and third rounds of the draft.
Van Noy was the Sports Caravan Stud of the Year his senior season at McQueen High School in northwest Reno.
