Reno Repeats as State Champions

RENO - The Reno Huskies defended their state title on Friday, beating Liberty 50-39 in the division one girls championship game.

Morgan McGwire led the way with a game-high 14 points. Alyson Rippingham added 13 points, while Savannah Schulze chipped in nine points.

The Huskies finish the season 29-1 overall, closing it out with 23 consecutive wins. They are the first division one girls team to repeat as state champs since 2008.
