RENO, NV - Reno police have arrested two people in connection with a Sunday morning carjacking that led to a motel standoff Monday afternoon.

Police say early Sunday, they were called to Kirman Street, told a man was being chased by another man with a handgun. The victim told police a man and woman had gone to his home and used a gun to rob him of his car and other items.

Police say they found the stolen car in the parking lot of the Quality Inn at Plumb and South Virginia Monday and started surveillance. Shortly after, two people matching the robbers' descriptions walked out of one room and ran into another room upon seeing police. Police spent much of the afternoon on the phone with both people, who finally walked out and were questioned, then arrested.

32-year-old Jose Carbajal and 33-year-old Tiffany Dawson are charged with armed robbery and grand larceny. Police found all the property stolen from the victim.
