RENO, NV - Reno police have arrested a man they believe stabbed another man to death.

Sunday, March 23, 2014 about 10:30AM, police were called regarding a welfare check of a man at 520 N. Center Street #207. They found 47-year-old Lorell Parnell dead inside his room. He had been dead at least several days, according to evidence at the scene, and an autopsy determined he had been stabbed to death.

In the room, police also found paperwork belonging to 45-year-old Tony Lee, who had called 911, then walked into the Reno Police Department March 9 with bloody clothes and asking for help, but he offered no information about why he needed help. He was arrested for misuse of 911 and held until police used DNA to tie him to the killing.

He has been charged with open murder. Police are still investigating to find a motive.
