Reno Police Investigate Purse Snatching

RENO, NV - The Reno Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect involved in a purse snatching.

Reno police say the purse was stolen around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014.

They say the suspect, a black female adult, walked into a business on the 2800 block of Northtowne Lane in Reno.

The suspect is accused of taking the business owner's purse from a chair inside of the store.

The suspect hid the purse before exiting the store and left toward the RTC bus stop near the area, according to Reno police.

Reno police say they found the victim's purse near the RTC bus stop, however, the victim's wallet was missing, along with other miscellaneous items.

The suspect is described as a black female adult in her mid 20s. They say she has a medium build and is 5-foot-5-inches to 5-foot-8-inches tall.

She is described as wearing a blue jean vest, a red shirt and blue shorts.
